All About Mrs. Self
First off let me Welcome you to my class!
I'm sure we'll have a great year of learning and having fun with friends!
I've been teaching at Hopkins for a long time, since 1999, and I absolutely love it!  It's a great school and I consider it  my second home!  :)  I've taught Kindergarten, first, and second grade.  It's so much fun!

I was born and raised an Oregonian.  The Pacific Northwest has so much to offer, I've never left!  I received my bachelor's degree and graduate school teacher's training at Portland State University.  Even after teaching for so many years I'm always up for taking a new class, reading a book, or surfing the web for new fun things to bring into my classroom.

When I'm not at Hopkins I'm busy with my family.  My husband and I have three great kids named Joelle, Hannah, and Nathan.   They keep us busy with their school and sports activities.  My dogs, Mike and Mable, are two other loves of my life!  I love reading, planting flowers, taking pictures of my dogs, art projects, taking walks, trying out a new recipe, watching my daughter Hannah play basketball and softball, listening to Joelle sing, and hearing Nathan's funny stories and seeing his drawings.
