Welcome to Room 20! Mr. Pletsch's 5th Grade Class

How I Run My Classroom:

  • I will treat you with respect, so you will know how to treat me.
  • Feel free to do anything that doesn't cause a problem for anyone else.
  • If you cause a problem, I will ask you to solve it.
  • If you can't solve the problem, or choose not to, I will do something.
  • What I do, will depend on the special person, and the special situation.
  • If you feel something is unfair, whisper to me, "I'm not sure that's fair," and we will talk.

About Mr. Pletsch

2016-2017 will be my second year at 5th grade, but my tenth year at Hopkins! I enjoyed teaching 5th grade last year and hope to learn more with this year's class. It's a special year at Hopkins as students get to experience being the leaders and role models for the entire school.

I am married and I have a 10 year old son, Max, and a 7 year old daughter, Lucy. These are some of my interests:

Travel, photography, reading, coaching soccer, snowboarding, Lego, guitar, cooking, educational technology, University of Oregon: Go Ducks!, University of Portland, Trailblazers, Timbers, golf, hiking, camping, scuba diving, baseball, music, Geocaching, and crabbing!
