Hopkins Supply Night Cancelled

Due to the fact that the building will be off-limits to staff until August 27th because of construction, Supply Night for the 2018-19 school year is cancelled. Grades 1-5 students should bring supplies on the first day of school, Tuesday, September 4th. Kinder students will bring supplies on their orientation day (more information will be mailed home).  Families are welcome to visit the classrooms briefly that morning.  Thank you for your patience and understanding, we are sorry for any inconvenience.

Hopkins Kinder Ramp-Up - 2018/2019

Hopkins will have three orientation sessions, September 4th, 5th and 6th for our new incoming Kinder students.  Students will be divided into three groups, with each group attending one session.  All kinder students will attend September 7th, 10th and 11th.  There will be no school for any Kinders on Wednesday, September 12th for class placement.  All Kinders will then begin in their official classroom Thursday, September 13th.  

Letters will be sent home the week of August 20th, with more information on what to expect and to inform you of which orientation day your student will attend.  All Kinder students will attend regular school hours, 7:55am to 2:15pm.

Hopkins Summer Office Closure

Due to summer bond work at Hopkins, the office will be closing at 3:30 on June 15th.  There will be no building access over the summer. 

If you are in need of registration paperwork, please visit our District website at  http://www.sherwood.k12.or.us/departments/teaching-learning/enrollment, or forms will be available at the District Office.  Completed enrollment forms may be delivered to the District Office, located at 23295 SW Main Street.  District Office summer hours are Monday-Thursday, 7:30am to 4:00pm, and Friday by appointment only.

Our target date for reopening the office is the week of August 27th

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work through this process.  We look forward to returning to our improved building this fall!

School Supply Packs - Order Now!

Interested in saving time and money?  Avoid shopping hassles.... no crowds.... no traffic.... no guess work!  Order forms will come home via backpack mail, or you can follow the link below for the School Supply Pack order form.  Please turn order forms in to the office.  If you prefer to order online, you will find the link and needed information on the order form.  All packs are based on the school supply list.  School supplies will be delivered directly to your child's classroom.  The deadline to order is June 15, 2018.

Site Council/Title I Annual Survey

You will have the opportunity to take this survey at your child(ren)'s conference Thursday or Friday.  If you are unable to attend conferences or if you are taking the survey at home, please follow the link below.  You will only need to take the survey one time.  Thank you for your honest, anonymous feedback.  We will use the information we collect to determine how we're doing and to help inform our School Improvement Plan.

Hopkins 43rd Annual Hoop De Do!!

You are invited to "Night at the Movies" on Friday, April 27 from 4:00-8:00pm.  Carnival games and prizes, a raffle and silent auction, and a memorable night await you!  Food trucks offering entrees, snacks and treats will also be on campus.  We can't wait to see you there!

Kindergarten Round-Up

March 7th from 3:30-6:00 pm at ALL FOUR Sherwood Elementary Schools.  Meet the teachers, turn in registration packets and learn how to prepare for the transition to elementary school.  Registration forms will be available in the main offices beginning February 5th for the 2018-2019 school year.  Proof of address, birth certificate and immunization records are required to complete enrollment.  Students must be 5 years old on or before September 1, 2018 to register for kindergarten.  If you need more information, please contact the Sherwood School District Office at 503-825-5000 or Beccah Wagner, Family Resource Coordinator at rwagner@sherwood.k12.or.us.

2018-2019 Hopkins Pre-K

Pre-K Round Up is scheduled for Wednesday, February 28th!  Do you want your child to attend Hopkins' tuition-free Pre-Kindergarten program?  In order to schedule an appointment for Round Up, we first need you to fill out our Interest Form.  We'll begin scheduling appointments in early February.  You can visit our website for further information about our PreK here.
