Kindergarten Round-Up

March 7th from 3:30-6:00 pm at ALL FOUR Sherwood Elementary Schools.  Meet the teachers, turn in registration packets and learn how to prepare for the transition to elementary school.  Registration forms will be available in the main offices beginning February 5th for the 2018-2019 school year.  Proof of address, birth certificate and immunization records are required to complete enrollment.  Students must be 5 years old on or before September 1, 2018 to register for kindergarten.  If you need more information, please contact the Sherwood School District Office at 503-825-5000 or Beccah Wagner, Family Resource Coordinator at rwagner@sherwood.k12.or.us.

2018-2019 Hopkins Pre-K

Pre-K Round Up is scheduled for Wednesday, February 28th!  Do you want your child to attend Hopkins' tuition-free Pre-Kindergarten program?  In order to schedule an appointment for Round Up, we first need you to fill out our Interest Form.  We'll begin scheduling appointments in early February.  You can visit our website for further information about our PreK here.

New Socks and Underwear Drive - December 5-15, 2017

New this year!  This drive will benefit the Sherwood Clothing Closet at the SHARE Center (Sherwood Family Resource Center) to help support our local families.  Donation boxes are available in each classroom, or you may drop your donation off at the office.  This drive was organized by Olivia Poehler, 4th grade.

Hopkins Annual Food Drive

 Tuesday, December 5th through Tuesday, December 12th.  Only nonperishable items please.  All food donated will be distributed by the Sherwood Elks and will stay in the Sherwood area.  Thank you for your support and for being a World Changer!   Please click on the link for more information.

Hopkins Family Reading Night - November 16, 6:00-7:15pm

Hosted by Title I and PTAC.  Free Pizza Dinner!  Wear your pajamas, bring your whole family, and join your Hopkins teachers and friends for Family Reading Night!  Dinner is served at 6:00, then head down to grade level classrooms at 6:30 to hear special guests read some favorite books.  Each class with a student in attendance will earn a CLASSROOM LIBRARY shopping spree!  The more students who come, the more $$ your class earns!    Plus, each student will be entered into a raffle to win a free book selection through Scholastic Book Clubs!

BINGO Night!

Thursday, October 12th, 6:00 to 7:30 pm.  Hopkins annual Bingo Night is fun and entertaining for the whole family!  Join us and get a chance at winning some pretty neat prizes.  Practice your jump and shout, and we'll see you there!

Hopkins Curriculum Night and Title I Annual Meeting

We encourage all parents to attend Curriculum Night.  This is an opportunity to visit your child's classroom and hear the teacher explain the academic program, class routines and class schedules.  We will have two identical sessions in each classroom so that parents with more than one student in our school will have the opportunity to meet both teachers.  We hope everyone can attend our informational meeting.  Please click here for the schedule of events.   Horizon Community Care will be hosting a free barbecue prior to the first session for Hopkins families.

Supply Night! Grades 1-5

Please join us for Supply Night, August 31st, 4:00 to 6:00 pm (open house style).  Meet your teacher, bring your supplies and meet your classmates!  Our Hopkins PTAC members will be there to share information about upcoming events, and parent volunteer information.  If you pre-ordered a school supply kit, it will be on your student's desk.

Beat the first day rush and deposit lunch money into your child's lunch account!  If your student will need medications during the school day, please bring them in as well.  All medications must be in the original container and brought in by a parent.  Authorization for Medication Administration forms are available online, or we will have forms available in the office.  We will also have staff from our transportation department available to help with any questions you may have on bus routes.

Please remember that Kindergarten students and families do not attend Supply Night.

Summer Hours

Hopkins School office closes on Thursday, June 22nd at 3:30 p.m., and will re-open on Monday, August 14th.

The District Office summer hours are Monday - Thursday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

While our school offices are closed during the summer, please deliver completed enrollment forms to the District Office, located at 23295 SW Main Street.  Forms are available online or can be picked up at the District Office.
